      Peer-led education is a combination of several health education and public health models whereby peers themselves are trained* to educate their peers. The goals of peer education are to reinforce, inspire or change behaviors through workshops, advocacy projects, discussion, interactive activities, role-playing, and more.   The Preconception Peer Educators (PPE) Program was developed to raise awareness among college students about the disproportionately high infant mortality rates among racial and ethnic minorities. The PPE Program is based on the concept of peer education as a teaching tool to educate fellow college students about healthy behaviors and the social.

      Sponsored by the Pennsylvania State College of Education, this peer reviewed journal publishes articles "that present research, theoretical statements, philosophical arguments, critical syntheses of a field of educational inquiry, and integrations of educational scholarship, policy, and practice." Also, book reviews. This paper describes a distinctive one-month certification programme in Mental Health Education. This was designed, conceptualised and executed at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), a multidisciplinary tertiary care hospital and training institute for mental health and neurosciences in India.

      Peer education has also showed its effect on enhancing health information in other social and age groups. Lessons about physical changes during puberty would be learned well through these communications and peer education has been able to attract them to learn these concepts and had a positive effect on their approach. The Peer Health Education program is part of Wellness & Health Promotion within the Student Health Center. Peer Health Educators (PHEs) are students who teach their peers about health through presentations, discussions, panels, workshops, health fairs, and health awareness weeks.
